The Consent Project was a collaboration between MaidSafe Foundation and the Ayrshire Women's Hub. We piloted the project in Girvan Academy with S3 pupils. Angie from the hub gave a presentation to the pupils. They then split into groups where further discussion on the topic of consent could continue. From their discussions the pupils came up with ideas to convey the messages they identified as most important about consent, using art work and slogans. These drawings and slogans were cut onto transfer vinyl using our laser cutter, and heat pressed onto fabric. The individual pieces were then sewn together to make two banners. One banner was presented to the school to help other young people learn about consent. The second banner will be used in future consent projects.
